The Audit Supervisor will provide leadership for our hospital cost report audit team. The position will lead and conduct DSH and cost report audits and perform final audit reviews of Medicaid cost reports. This includes analyzing hospital financial information; performing reimbursement calculations; and preparing written documents supporting professional decisions.

Essential Functions:
  • Provide strong leadership to hospital audit team
  • Perform DSH audit engagements
  • Manage flow of audits through required process
  • Provide high level technical knowledge and training to staff
  • Assist in completing existing project deliverables
  • Schedule field audit dates with providers
  • Perform final review of audit fieldwork
  • Complete large hospital audit engagements
  • Perform various assignments relating to Medicaid reimbursement
  • Maintain security of and confidentiality of all protected health information
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned

Requirements:
  • Bachelor degree in accounting or related field required
  • CPA or CPA candidate preferred
  • 3 years of relevant work experience required, 7 years preferred
  • Significant exposure to Medicare and /or Medicaid cost reports
  • Demonstrated high level of expertise with Medicare and Medicaid regulations
  • Experience working with DSH audits
  • Solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
  • Well organized with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Effectively multi-task with planning and efficiency
  • Proficient use of applicable software programs, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Windows
  • Experience with HFS hospital cost report software
  • Experience with Database (Access) and Pro Systems FX Engagement software preferred
  • Must be able to travel based on client and business needs
