Avaya Government Solutions (AvayaGov) is one of the nation's strongest and most dynamic systems solutions providers. AvayaGov specializes in the acquisition, design, engineering, evaluation, and development of advanced IT systems and data communications networks for information systems and applications. Our long tradition of success is attributable to the bright, driven professionals at AvayaGov.

Avaya Government Solutions has an immediate opening for a Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst/Technical Writer located in Washington, D.C.

Be part of the successful team that designs the web-based docketing systems used by Federal Courts. Work with court staff and programmers to identify and refine system requirements and ensure the proposed solutions fulfill the customers' needs. As a member of the quality assurance (QA) staff, you will attend meetings during which the system requirements are discussed and refined. Successful candidate will spend 50-75% of his/her time developing test scenarios and manually testing the system to the requirements, and documenting results prior to the distribution to the external testing team. The selected candidate will be trained to use simple SQL to verify database effects. Automated testing tools will not be utilized. Candidate will spend 25-50% of his/her time performing business analysis tasks including: writing and/or modifying requirements and design documents, and descriptions of the user interface. Knowledge of applications development or the systems development life cycle (SDLC) would be beneficial.
