Responsible for coaching, counseling and motivating competent loss mitigation associates. This includes overseeing a timely and accurate review of loss mitigation workouts requests in order to prevent foreclosures and mitigate losses.

Principal Accountabilities:
Direct, coach, counsel and motivate and assist in the ongoing development of the loss mitigation associates.
Assist, identify and implement policies and procedures to lower costs, improve efficiencies within loss mitigation/workouts work rules.
Review high risk mortgage accounts for loss mitigation opportunities
Communicate with the borrower, attorneys, brokers to effect loss mitigation option
Assist is formulating the work rules necessary to complete loss mitigation functions within the DRI servicing system.
Compile and monitor monthly statistics.
Conduct regular one on one meetings with associates to establish monthly goals and provide performance feedback based on roll down goals of organization and portfolio segmentation.
Assist in building a modification process, including the presidential modifications, within the DRI servicing system.
Administer the paperwork portion of the loss mitigation process including but not limited to the sending of the documents to borrowers, following up for the receipt of the documents, recording if necessary of the documents.
Review approved workout asset plans to ensure borrower documentation is aligned with approval.
Communicate details of decision to borrower
Assist co-workers with processing any backlog, questions or problem situations
Troubleshoot elevated phone calls and portfolio issues
Responsible for system changes relating to closing of loss mitigation workouts.
Assist in building a modification process, including the presidential modifications, within the DRI servicing system.
Administer the paperwork portion of the loss mitigation process including but not limited to the sending of the documents to borrowers,
Negotiate workout terms and communicate details of the decision to the customer
Document system of record for all stages of loss mitigation completion process.
Assist in the creation of the workflow process, check lists, to align with the loss mitigation steps associated with each workout.
Review approved workout asset plans to ensure borrower documentation is aligned with approval and in accordance with the client guidelines
Responsible for system changes relating to closing of loss mitigation workouts.
Receive and review financial packages from customer
Analyze, make decisions and verify financial information to determine best loss mitigation option
Work closely with Portfolio Manager to ensure client performance metrics are met

Education:§ Minimum:
College degree or business experience equivalent

Experience:§ Minimum:
3-5 years of experience managing non-performing loans, specializing in loss mitigation.
Mortgage banking experience preferably in Default related functions

§ Preferred:
5+ years in asset management, primarily in loss mitigation.

General knowledge of all functional aspects of mortgage servicing
Knowledge of all investor/insurer loss mitigation workout options
2 years supervisory experience
