Help resident maintain good personal hygiene.
Plan and prepare nutritional meals.
Assist with certain treatments as ordered by the physician and approved and supervised by the nurse.
Encourage residents to become as independent as possible according to the nursing care plan.
Give simple emotional and psychological support to the resident and other members of the household
Report any changes to the resident’s mental or physical condition or in the home to immediate supervisor.
Requirements:
Training through a vocational school, certified home health agency or hospital with a curriculum consisting of a minimum of 75 hours OR State Nurses Aide certification or present documentation of their schools curriculum.
1 year recent home health experience required.
Medicare experience required.
Current CPR and First Aid certification required.
Ability to interact and build relationships with older adults.
Strong organizational and analytical skills.
Strong team building and mentoring skills.
