This Process Engineer opening provides the right candidate with a great opportunity to learn and grow in the manufacturing field. This position will be the on-site Process Engineer providing critical support to our manufacturing facility in Hampton, New Hampshire .
We specialize in the manufacturing of aluminum brazed assemblies including enclosures, chassis, cold plates and heat exchangers for defense and commercial aerospace industrial markets. Our unique processes go beyond traditional capabilities to provide our customers with durable, highly efficient thermal solutions. This high-level of service is accomplished by combining an innovative and knowledgeable engineering team with a versatile and reliable manufacturing group. The result is a resource for military, aerospace, and commercial customers who need top of the line expertise and product manufacturing.
The ideal candidate will possess solid Engineering skills, thrive in a fast-paced business environment, and have a strong understanding of business disciplines including the ability to apply well-defined work techniques and procedures in day-to-day activities. This position will be a critical team member supporting multiple .
Job Summary and Description
Evaluates production processes and products to determine and correct problem root causes, improve process efficiency and ensure compliance with customer specifications. Review assigned products/projects with the key objective to reduce manufacturing costs and implement latest technology best practice.
1 . Develops and implements quality improvement and problem prevention procedures to continuously improve process efficiency, reduce quality problems, and ensure compliance with customer requirements.
2 . Consult with plant management and personnel on better operational procedures to improve overall efficiency and product yields.
3. Investigate alternative process materials/equipment to reduce overhead cost, improve efficiency, reduce maintenance cost and reduce safety risks. Ex. Chemical line material: from hydrofluoric acid to etch salts.
4. Investigate alternative materials such as extrusions/castings/forgings to reduce raw material costs and manufacturing time.
5. Seek and evaluate input from manufacturing aimed at reducing costs, improving quality, and increasing throughput.
Work with systems to develop meaningful reports to assist manufacturing, quality and estimating.
Review new designs for manufacturability, equipment needs and process procedure creation.
Perform job review which includes process routers, bill of materials and drawings before lot and or job release.
9. Performs other related duties as required or as assigned.
B.S. degree or equivalent education.
Knowledge of CNC Milling and brazing technology along with ANSI Y14.5 Standards, and MIL SPECS desired.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
Strong communication skills, and must be able to work independently.
High School diploma
