Consultants in this position lead the implementation of Pearson’s Learning Outcome Manager (LOM) and Enterprise Reporting (ER) products and are recognized as thought leaders in the areas of assessment, institutional reporting, and academic analytics. From deep dive capabilities presentations to an in-depth needs analysis, where possible and effective, we tailor our solutions into the client’s existing operational processes. Our implementation approach combines consulting on assessment and institutional reporting best practices with training on actual product functionality. Academic Trainers and Consultants may also be called upon as subject matter experts on a wide variety of Pearson technology solutions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
•Train LOM and ER clients on product functionality to include product administration, best practices, and instructional strategies relating to these add-ons to the Pearson LearningStudio platform through a variety of delivery modalities;
•Consult as the assessment and academic analytics subject matter expert with administrators and faculty to provide information, guidance, and recommendations regarding strategic assessment and analytics culture;
•Engage with stakeholders to proactively identify gaps and enhancements to current implementation approach for LOM and ER;
•Create and demonstrate detailed analytic decks & operational reports based on client input;
•Collaborate with peer consultants and the appropriate product manager to escalate software enhancement requests to the Product Management team as they are discovered through consultation with clients;
•Provide sales support by performing in-depth LOM and ER demonstrations;
•Author consulting and training content to support LOM and ER implementations;
•Ensure consulting and training processes are adequately documented for peer consultants and for our education partners
•Write articles and tips for the Educators’ Voice and the ATC Blog
•Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Two or more years’ experience relating to standards and/or outcomes assessment in higher education is required. Previous work with or knowledge of the reporting requirements to support documentation of student learning for both regional and professional accreditation bodies along with attendance requirements, at-risk student identification and intervention strategies, retention, and persistence is highly desirable. Two or more years in an administrative capacity with a school or in teaching in the classroom (including curriculum design and development) is required. Master’s (or Terminal) degree in related field is required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
•Ability to evaluate a client’s assessment approach and to identify goals and a recommended implementation approach for the integration of Pearson content and technology into the continuous improvement of student learning on campus.
•Knowledge of distance learning data models, institutional operations procedures, and the ability to discuss analytic methods and reports with clients, and implement these reports using business intelligence software.
•Ability to define, interpret, and explain data.
•Ability to consult with clients about trending, monitoring and an overall reporting strategy.
•Excellent consulting and training skills; including the ability to drive to solutions based on needs-assessment with clients.
•Technical understanding of Pearson LearningStudio platform highly desired.
•Ability to present ideas clearly and concisely.
•Excellent customer service attitude, communication skills, and interpersonal skills.
•Excellent organizational and time management skills.
•Must be able to work in a team environment, but also be self-directed.
•Knowledge of advanced statistical analysis techniques
•Experience with the implementation of a technology enhanced outcome management solution.
•Familiarity with Cognos or a similar business intelligence system
•Knowledge of or previous work with accreditation a plus
•Ability to perform academic research
•Proficient with Microsoft Office
