JOB SUMMARY:
Manages the sales of products for assigned retail and wholesale customers within a specified district, or major geographic area. This role will be required to implement Pure Fishing category management strategies and tactics at the retail and HQ level. The Role is responsible for achieving superior in-store presence in targeted accounts and working with the customer¿s operations personnel where appropriate to impact retail sales objectives. The role will require leadership at key accounts and within the district. This role can include large regional accounts and distributors as well as retail accounts. This will require knowledge of the market; the various retailers in the market, and their specific needs and desires.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Manage all aspects of Sales for accounts in the territory.
Call on dealers, distributors, and key accounts in the territory
Evaluate and help implement our sales program by account
Make sure we are taking care of and servicing our key accounts
Build a strong relationship with buyers¿ DMM¿s and support people
Where applicable, blend or domestic, POE, and FOE programs into a program that works for the customer and Pure Fishing.
Where applicable, sell in SMU business as a complement to our catalog assortment
Responsible for achieving Sales Goal and managing expenses within Budget
Forecasting/Inventory management
Forecast larger customers by SKU
This should involve creating forecasts that take into account potential replenishment changes with customers and changes in market conditions
Manage and regularly update key items being added or dropped from customer¿s assortment
Communicate significant forecast changes in units to the forecasting department
Communicate changes in the dollars forecast.
Product Knowledge
Learn the product line
Learn your customer¿s rod, reel and combo assortments
Provide product input specific to your customers and your territory
Advise if we are missing key items or categories of items

COMPETENCIES:
1. Facility with laptop computer and databases including Word, Excel & Power Point
2. Persuasive selling skills
3. Ability to communicate confidently with customer counterparts, orally and written.
4. Thorough understanding of category management selling concepts and tools
5. Willingness to travel up to four days a week.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience:
College BS or BA degrees or equivalent experience.
