The Westin Seattle is looking for a Restaurant and Lobby Bar General Manager with experience and team building know-how to ensure the success of this newly launched restaurant within an iconic downtown Seattle hotel. The Relish Restaurant and Westin Lobby Bar General Manager will demonstrate success by:
  • Operating our free-standing, fast-paced, Relish Burger Bistro, with 108 seats, and our Lobby Bar. Combined, these facilities produce over $3 million in annual revenue.
  • Maintaining a highly professional, positive, fast-paced, motivating work environment.
  • Developing, implementing, and maintaining quality standards for the restaurant, including supervision and leading the staff.
  • Ensuring all guests are delighted in their experience.
  • Interviewing, selecting, training, supervising, counseling, and disciplining the restaurant team to maintain a highly effective restaurant and bar operation.
  • Organizing and conducting pre-shift and departmental meetings communicating all relevant operations and hotel information to the team.
  • Creating exceptional guest experiences, while promoting hotel facilities and services.
  • Working with all hotel departments to ensure all guest service expectations and associate expectations are anticipated and exceeded.
  • Driving profitability of the restaurants and bars to support the overall hotel operation.
  • Control payroll and additional costs, minimize loss and misuse.
  • Evaluate cost effectiveness and implement best practices of all aspects of the operation.
  • Drive, support and implement all event and marketing initiatives on behalf of Relish and the Westin Lobby Bar. Social media marketing experience a plus.

Requirements

An exceptional candidate will have an energizing yet relaxing personality and:
  • Have excellent communication skills, while facilitating the communication process.
  • Ability to lead a team.
  • Strong knowledge of food and beverage operation knowledge.
  • Strong knowledge of food and alcoholic beverages.
  • Be able to lift a tray up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to analyze and prepare data, figures, reports, and budget.
  • Minimum of five years with a food and beverage background.
  • Minimum of three years of food and beverage management experience.
  • Prior management experience in a restaurant in a luxury hotel is preferred.
  • Maintain a neat, clean, well-groomed appearance per Starwood standard.
  • Be willing to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must have to be willing to receive a Washington State Food Handler’s Card.
