The Weitz Company is looking for an experienced Construction Manager to be located out of our Guam office.

Required Skills The Construction Manager is responsible for the profitable and timely execution of all projects while maintaining company standards for quality, safety, and customer service. This individual utilizes The Weitz Company core values as a framework for all business dealings. This person is responsible for recruiting, developing and retention of high performing employees and teams. The Construction Manager may report directly to the Regional or Segment President, Vice President/Construction Manager, or Senior Vice President/Construction Manager.

Candidate must demonstrate skill in the areas of business acumen, strategic planning and execution, sound business and leadership judgment, communication, leadership, client relations, negotiation, extensive project management, construction knowledge, decision making, conflict resolution, tactful communication, adaptability, analytical thinking, performance coaching, and entrepreneurial skills. Is helpful if candidate has proven systems knowledge and hands-on experience of Prolog, JDE, and SureTrak.

To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each previously stated duty satisfactorily. Therequirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and ability necessary to succeed as a Construction Manager .

Required Experience
  • Candidate must have a minimum of a high school degree.
  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
  • Knowledge of estimating, project management, and business acquisition functions of a construction company is a necessity.
  • Candidate must have ten years of extensive construction experience in all facets of project management, field management, and five years of direct management and leadership of large multi-faceted staff.
