NOTE: ACUTE MED/SURG, FOR PROFIT CAREER EXPERIENCE IS PREFERRED
The COO provides leadership for the operations of the facility. The COO implements strategy of CEO and the system. Manages hospital departments efficiently and effectively to maximize the quality of services and profits of the facility. The COO will have responsibility of the facility in the absence of the CEO. The candidate must possess strong physician relation/retention skills and the desire to be promoted to a CEO role in the future.
Manages, coaches, and develops staff. Through appropriate management practices, creates a hospital climate to motivate employees to highest performance. Establishes direction, provides constructive feedback, and builds commitment.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
At least two years of acute, med/surg, for-profit COO or ACEO hospital experience is preferred. Master’s degree preferred. Must be organized, detail oriented, and be able to communicate effectively with employees, Board of Directors, physicians, supply partners, and patients.
