The Center for Outcomes and Policy Research (COPR) is seeking a Clinical Data Quality Manager to manage a group of research data specialists and clinical data analysts. This position, in collaboration with faculty investigators and project managers,is responsible for oversight of data collection, data management and data quality of national and institutional multi-disease outcomes database.
Primary duties and responsibilities include:
Oversees data collection, data management and data quality of a national and institutional multi-disease outcomes database.
Collaborates with disease-specific faculty investigators and project managers on site initiation, accrual, data management issues and training, clinical content and data quality issues.
Consults and advises programmers and project staff on database development, data mapping and electronic data transfers.
Oversees resolution of questions related to eligibility, accrual and data collection of clinical information, cancer staging, all treatment modalities and outcome information collected in database.
Assumes responsibilities for the recruitment and supervision of data management staff, as well as ensures that staff has completed mandatory training in a timely manner. Develops and oversees a disease specific on-boarding and orientation process and performs annual performance evaluations and competency assessments of data management staff.
Assumes responsibilities for recruitment, supervision and training of quality assurance staff. Maintains schedules and procedures necessary for timely, complete and high quality data collection.
Minimum Job Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or CTR preferred.
Minimum of 5-7 years of relevant experience required.
Must have the ability to function independently and have previous supervisory and research experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
Extensive knowledge of cancer as a disease process, cancer staging and cancer treatment.
Must have substantial and relevant experience with IRB regulations specific to outcomes research and CORIS.
Must be experienced in database development, data mapping, electronic data transfers and data analysis.
Proficient at developing QA procedures to ensure timely and high quality data collection by the clinical research staff.
Relevant and recent experience managing a large group of Research Data Specialists
Must have comprehensive computer knowledge and expertise with Partner’s electronic medical record, Business Objects reporting software and CRIS research databases.
Exceptional interpersonal, organizational and communications skills are required.
This position is full-time, Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week.
