We are seeking a bright and energetic MPS Senior Assessment Analyst who can help Staples during the audit and solution design stage of a Managed Print Services engagement with our customers. The MPS Senior Assessment Analyst will be the focal point that takes the current state assessment developed by an Assessment Analyst and generates a future state proposal for the customer including an optimized output environment, estimated savings and the TCO (total cost of ownership) analysis. Role may require up to 20-30% travel.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Retrieves current state data, information and customer requirements from MPS Assessment Analyst
Designs optimized future state recommendation for customer environment
Prepares a compelling customer proposal including current state findings presentation and recommendations on future state with devices, space planning, TCO analysis and potential savings while maximizing the customer’s current investment
Assists the MPS Business Development Reps in customer meetings where the current state findings and future state proposals will be reviewed
Essential Skills Required:
Bachelor Degree (Business, Finance, IT)
2 to 4 years (MPS, Assessment, Consulting or related field)
Detail-oriented, self-starter with outstanding follow-through skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Powerpoint, Excel, Word, etc.) and strong technical and financial aptitude
Excellent time management skills; Customer facing and strong communication/interpersonal skills
Business case development skills necessary and sales skills a plus
Prefer technical and product knowledge in the following areas: multi-vendor output devices, assessment/quoting/fleet mgmt software from various vendors (FMAudit, Asset DB, eAutomate, PrintFleet, etc) and a general knowledge of the printing, output management, digital imaging industry with emphasis on Managed Print Services
Attention to detail as well as analytical skills are paramount since this role basically drives the whole assessment proposal process for a new MPS engagement. The quality of work delivered by the Senior Assessment Analyst will have a high impact on the success rate of closing the MPS deal
The Senior Assessment Analyst will be responsible for making decisions on what devices to optimize in a customer’s environment, what new devices to recommend, where to position those devices in customer’s environment, what employee to device ratio to recommend, etc. The whole future state proposal is basically at the Senior Assessment Analyst’s discretion
The Senior Assessment Analyst will also be making assumptions on other soft costs in the customer’s environment around paper, energy consumption, etc. to generate TCO analysis and ultimately estimated cost savings. There is often a fair amount of independent discretion/judgment in these numbers because the customer does not know their actual costs
The Senior Assessment Analyst will review and approve or reject the work submitted by Assessment Analyst
