Duties & Responsibilities: Be a member of a multidisciplinary ACT team, serving individuals with severe & persistent mental illness and substance abuse diagnosis. Will provide services to all individuals served by the ACT team, regardless of their diagnosis. Will provide person-centered comprehensive assessment of individuals served by the ACT team. Will plan and provide leadership for substance abuse groups, assist individuals in harm reduction plans and efforts. Consult with community agencies & families to assist in the treatment process. Participate in daily staff organizational meetings. Accurately complete documentation in a timely manner according to agency policy. Computer skills are required.
Minimum Training & Experience: Completion of a Bachelors degree in a related field OR Certification as a certified addiction counselor from the Georgia Addiction Counselors Association (GACA) or equivalent certification
Additional Information: Fingerprinting, TB Testing and Drug Screen are required upon appointment.
