CN, North America's Railroad is seeking Signal and Communications apprentices for our Stevens Point, WI location. S&C Apprentices perform entry-level duties in Signals and Communications.
They must complete the CN training program for apprentices in this discipline.
Additionally, S&C Apprentices are expected to:
Learn specifics of Signals and Communications as they relate to the railway
Possess some basic knowledge of physics and electricity
Take prescribed training classes at CN to gain industry or work specific knowledge
Complete other functions as necessary
Other job requirements include:
Current and valid drivers license
Computer skills as they apply to the job
Working shifts, sometimes away from home
Physical work, sometimes outdoors in extreme weather conditions
Math skills
The ability to read plans and meters, and understand the rules that apply to these measuring devices
