Curian Clearing provides clearance and settlement services for Curian Capital’s clients and investors, including trade execution, new account opening, check deposits, withdrawals, and account transfers. Reviews and processes basic new client account data and ensures information is in good order for processing. Performs account maintenance to existing accounts.
Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities
Ensures new accounts received electronically are in good order for processing and that all documents have been received.
Performs account maintenance to existing accounts.
Corresponds with advisors regarding opening of new accounts and new account status. Updates contact history.
Implements changes on client directed investment strategy.
Receives notification of restricted accounts and sends information to affected areas (such as the trading desk).
Prepares documents to be scanned; performs data entry on scanned documents. Sorts and distributes department mail.
Reviews department transaction forms to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Must be detail oriented, organized and able to process a large volume of work.
Ability to understand basic concepts of the financial services industry.
Good oral and written communication skills.
Good customer service skills.
Must be able to work independently or as part of a team.
Proficient with MS Office applications.
Education and Experience Required
High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.).
1-3 years experience.
