This position is to support the Center for Surface Combat Systems (CSCS), to provide technical and engineering support in systems engineering, integration, development, maintenance, documentation, and operation of training tools. CSCS requires a candidate who can provide technical and engineering support in the systems engineering, integration, development, maintenance, documentation, and operation of training tools for the Center for Surface Combat Systems (CSCS).
The candidate shall play a leading role in Navy and MDA efforts to develop technical documentation to include; Operational Employment Guides, (OEG), Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTP), Tactical Memorandums (TACMEMOS), Tactical Bulletins, Concepts of Operation (CONOPS), and Concepts of
Employment (CONEMPS) which suggests changes to tactics, techniques, procedures, or doctrine for Aegis and Aegis BMD ships.
Additionally, the candidate will support NAMDC Senior Leadership Seminars, Aegis BMD Waterfront technical symposia, wargames, and exercises, and other meetings, conferences and working groups as required.
The successful candidate should also have :
1. Bachelors Degree in a related technical or military discipline.
- Effective communication skills; experience working with and briefing at the 06/GS-15/ND IV level
- Experience conducting engineering studies and applying system engineering processes to identify risks, and provide sound solutions and mitigate ideas in the context of cost, schedule and performance.
- The ability to work from high level guidance and produce timely and effective results expected.
2. Masters Degree preferred.
15-20 years of related experience supporting military operations.
Three (3) years' experience with the AEGIS Combat System Development to include: design,
development, test and evaluation, lifetime support maintenance, configuration management, and
