Assist with maintaining multi-state payroll and employee records according to company and government regulations through Company payroll system.
Provide efficient, accurate, quality service to internal and external contacts including employees and service bureaus.
Enter data related to employee changes which includes, but is not limited to, demographic data, pay changes, tax data, and garnishments.
Process wage and salary payments and related withholdings.
Audit payroll system data from HR status updates for salary increases, new hire data, employee terminations, leave of absence information, benefit changes, address changes, title changes and company organizational changes.
Finalize and process payroll.
Process off cycle payrolls which includes but not limited to manual checks, bonus payments, stock options and fringe benefits.
Process, audit and maintain timesheets per pay period.
Process and record payroll data accurately and on a timely basis to general ledger accounts.
Perform initial reconciliation of all payroll related general ledger accounts for supervisory review.
Generate ad hoc and regular reports to support ongoing departmental work and special projects.
May assist in gathering information for various tax filings.
Perform other general clerical duties such as copying, faxing, filing, scanning, answering phones, and operating departmental office equipment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant and pregressive payroll procesing experience for a multi-state/multi-company entity.
- Knowledge of payroll accounting and payroll tax filing practice
- PeopleSoft experience is preferred
