Duties & Responsibilities
The Lead Service Technician performs pre and post job testing on all equipment. Loads and unloads gang boxes and work vans. Disassembles, inspects, maintains, repairs and reassembles all equipment. Troubleshoots, identifies and replaces defective parts and components on all equipment. Applies lubricants to machine parts such as shafts, pulleys, gears and bearings including motors and pumps. Cleans and removes dirt, grease, waste material and pressure washes all equipment. Assists shipping and receiving in loading and unloading of all equipment, maintaining general inventories and upkeep of spares kits. Cleans work area, tools and equipment and performs other routine duties associated with day to day operations and equipment upkeep. Leads and instructs other technicians on all aspects of the following: Job setup, de mob and pre and post testing of all equipment, any and all repairs of equipment. Attends pre and post job meetings with Project Managers and any other job meetings as needed with Clients. Assists with all technical data for job such as drawings and changes to drawings of any equipment. Provides support on all subsea products developed within OIE and assists in maintenance, repairs and installation, troubleshoots repair equipment and commissions these products. Directly interfaces with client on job issues and problems and conducts them in a professional manner.
High School diploma, trade school or BS/BA optional. A knowledge of subsea tree control and water/glycol hydraulics control systems, with a minimum of five (5) years industrial offshore experience in subsea installation of trees manifolds and umbilical’s or directly related experience. To perform this job successfully, an individual should have computer skills and proficient knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel. Must be able to read hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical schematics. Must have a valid passport to travel internationally. A willingness to work offshore and overseas for extended periods of time is required.
