Directly manage the equipment reliability program for Chemistry in order to ensure safe and efficient operation of the plant. Maintain all aspects of the Chemistry programs or Operational chemistry or Environmental/Radwaste including all planning, budgetary, and regulatory aspects of the programs. Manage supervisors, specialists and technicians in support of plant operational needs according to industry standards. This includes coaching and mentoring, reinforcing the fundamentals, scheduling, and maintaining working files. Provides critical observations and feedback to site and departmental staffing to foster continuous improvement. Accountable for the in-field application of policies and procedures relating to Chemistry programs. Is responsible for assuring that the Chemistry Department maintains a strong program through proper monitoring, assessments, and evaluation of Chemistry data. Assist the Chemistry, Radwaste and Environmental Manager in developing, reviewing and implementing department procedures and policies and assuring that these documents meet all federal and company regulations. Attend peer meetings to assure that industry best practices and standards are being implemented effectively and uniformly across all sites. Accountable for ensuring that department activities, priorities and resources are being managed effectively to meet the needs of Operations and Chemistry. Maintains a working relationship with the Union and ensures that the CBA is applied consistently and fairly.

Required: Bachelor’s degree in Science or equivalent BS Degree. Minimum 5 years experience at a Nuclear facility with Operations or Chemistry background. Demonstrated written and oral communication skills. Must meet Nuclear’s requirements for unescorted plant access.
