Reports to: Manager of Software Engineering
As a Lead Software Engineer , you’ll act as one of Enova’s heavy hitters, overseeing small teams of developers to ensure delivery on major projects for our various software platforms. Projects can vary greatly, requiring enterprise application architecture work and regular interaction with cross-functional teams. These can last anywhere from one month to over a year. We’re always building something new, from improving our credit models, to integrating with 3 rd parties or improving payment gateways, there’s never a dull moment. Be it large or small, if it can be developed, our team leads can handle it.
Enova hires and develops top talent, so as a Lead Software Engineer, you’ll see the benefits of a progressive career path. If you have the ambition and the technical chops to back it up, we have great opportunities for growth. Leadership positions are available for those who are ready to grab them, and we offer competitive salaries, flexible hours, an awesome culture, and the chance to work with brilliant, talented people. We work extremely hard, and we reap the benefits.
At Enova, we believe in open source tools , working with an application stack that includes Ruby, Rails, PostgreSQL, and Debian Linux. Other tools you’ll probably interact with include RESqueue, HTML5 and CSS3, Cucumber and more. We intend to stay on the cutting edge of technology, and a flexible framework is what builds the foundation of our business. Enova typically releases two new products a year, and averages two code releases per day. This is still too slow! We want more products and releases, and are creating a solid, stable, and flexible infrastructure to accomplish that goal.
All in all, an exceptional engineering team is vital to Enova’s business. We enjoy our coworkers, create great code, and continue to work on challenging problems. If this is the type of position you’re seeking, keep reading and apply!
