Job Summary: The General Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of Door Center operations personally or through subordinate staff with primary responsibility for customer service and operations.

1. Accountable for daily execution of company defined program processes (DC sales, Lowes, Direct, etc.)
2. Monitors performance against budget and/or targets of key performance metrics
3. Reviews cost of operations and tries to enhance profitability of Door Center
4. Oversees the staffing, development, supervision and directing of all Door Center personnel
5. Verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling and disposition of merchandise, and keeping of warehouse inventory
6. Confers with customers and representatives of associated industries to evaluate and promote improved and expanded sales in area
7. Establishes and ensures conformity to work procedures governing Door Center operations
8. Resolves employee grievances or submits unsettled grievances to District Service Manager for action
9. Communicates company methods/policies/procedures to staff and/or clientele
10. Coordinates assembly, work schedules (including temporary personnel as needed), and warehousing operations to ensure scheduled delivery dates are met
11. Ensures the availability of parts require for warehouse assembly and production by coordinating with Sales and Purchasing Departments
12. Inspects warehouse facilities and equipment and recommends changes in allocation of space and storage procedures to District Service Manager
13. Ensures that corporate programs regarding safety, security, care of equipment and facility, etc., are followed, ensures OSHA compliance
14. Investigates customers’ complaints involving such matters as damaged items, overcharges, and delay in shipment, and confers with District Service Manager on necessary adjustment
15. Accountable for meeting weeks of inventory, scrap and damage goals
16. Responsible for an “injury-free” workplace
17. Assist in the development of an annual Individual Development Plan (IDP) and meet all training targets as spelled out in the IDP and by corporate goals
18. Perform other duties as assigned

1. Must perform work in non-climate controlled warehouse facility
2. Extended time on feet, walking distances up to 200 feet
3. Manual dexterity and hand to eye coordination for operation of hand/power tools
4. Frequent stooping, bending, walking, carrying and lifting (up to 50 pounds)

3. College education or related experience
4. Valid drivers license
5. Good supervisory, leadership and motivational skills
6. PC / Windows skills
7. Mechanical aptitude / power tools
