The primary responsibility of the Variance Analyst is the
resolution of over and underpayment discrepancies on paid accounts.
Assists in review of the PRM and assures properly maintained.
Actively participates in contract review.
Essential Job Duties:
1. Respond to manager’s requests
in a timely manner.
2. Able to recognize any variances
regarding payments from all third party carriers.

4. Corrects all log errors as
they occur in a timely and satisfactory manner.

a good understanding of all insurance regulations and requirements

9. Contact third party payers
when changes occur in the reimbursement amount to determine of
corrections need to be made in the discount.
10. Other duties
The following are the job requirements for the Variance Analyst
Bilingual (Spanish) preferred, but not required.
Understands complex managed care arrangements.

other outside parties.
The ability to clearly communicate
clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing is required.
Provides customer focused service, exceeding expectations of both
internal and external customers.
Proficiency in Microsoft
Office applications and others as required.
Ability to pay
attention to detail, prioritize needs, multi-task and manage needs is
High School diploma or equivalent is required.
At least one to three years of collection experience in a
healthcare business office environment is preferred.
