The Coordinator, Administrative Services will function as a budget coordinator for the Ocean & Mechanical Department, maintaining daily fiscal operations for administrative and grant accounts. Responsibilities include budgeting, forecasting, monitoring and reconciling fiscal reports, preparing and tracking purchase requisitions, and posting and reconciling tuition waivers, backup timekeeping functions, and other fiscal duties as assigned by the chief fiscal coordinator. The selected candidate liaises on behalf of Department with all University departments concerned with fiscal, personnel and grants administration matters. Extensive contact as necessary with external vendors, subcontractors, research interests and relevant organizations.

A Master's degree in an appropriate area of specialization; or a Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of budget management experience is required. The preferable area of specialization for both the Master's and Bachelor's degrees is in Public Administration, Accounting, Business Administration or a related field. Excellent verbal and written communication skills; computer expertise in MS Word, Excel Outlook and PowerPoint are required. Internet and Banner experience is preferred. Experience with state budgeting and contracting processes and managing office personnel is also preferred.
