JOB TITLE: Clinical Imaging Cardiovascular Consultant/CoordinatorGENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES - The Clinical Imaging Cardiovascular Consultant provides subject matter expertise and project leadership in establishing goals and priorities and in the overall management of current and planned CVIS applications, services, and related technologies within HCA. This position is responsible for coordinating multi-site refreshes, new system implementations, consolidation/standardization and operational support of Cardiovascular Imaging systems.Maintains and grows knowledge and experience in area of specialization. Demonstrates a solid understanding of cardiovascular clinical imaging systems, business, and/or technical processes and implemented IT solutions. Works with product/service leaders to ensure timing, resourcing and sequencing of work to meet customer operational needs.

Develops area goals, establishes work priorities, and administers financials related to the area.Is the primary point of contact for internal and external business sponsors and facility project team. Builds relationships with business operations, IT&S leaders, vendors, and staff. Creates an environment that encourages information sharing, team-based resolutions, cross-training and process improvement within the department or area managed to ensure effectiveness, efficiency and service excellence.This position requires strong technical skills, people skills, personal drive, and the ability to see strategy through to execution in a matrix reporting environment. Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills are also required.SUPERVISOR - Clinical Imaging DirectorSUPERVISES - N/ADUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: IT Project Leadership, Creation of Standards, Budget Creation, Project Management, Technical Expertise, Customer and Vendor Relationship Management, Incident Management Establishes goals and priorities in the overall management of current and planned CVIS applications, services, and related technologies.

Transitions that business goal into a project plan then manage that project to completion. Communicate with all organizational components of the enterprise and relevant vendors project updates, issues, system improvements, and solutions. Create and manage business/technical relationships with facilities, internal business stakeholders, internal IT&S relationships, and implementation-related vendors. Facilitates relationship between IT&S and division/market staff.

Represent the best interests of HCA while performing all aspects of vendor management. Work autonomously to achieve goals as defined by management. Monitor project activities and reports on status. Formulates solutions and makes decisions required for progress.

Proactively communicate with co-workers and management when escalating problems and recommend solutions when appropriate. Insure that the others within the department or team are trained and knowledgeable of CV imaging system vendor applications and are aware of all installation requirements. Identify continuous improvement activities that will ensure more effective and efficient provision of service to our customers. Adheres to Code of Conduct and Mission & Value Statement.

Participate in special projects as needed and performs other duties as assigned.Relationship Management & Communication: Facility, Division, and Corporate Operational Leadership, Vendors, Division and Corporate IT Groups Builds positive relationships with business operations, IT&S leadership, and vendors Owns the facilitation of multi-way communication with key constituents on Cardiovascular matters Communicates successes, challenges, opportunities, trends, and lessons regarding Cardiology to appropriate leadership at the facility and/or division level Promotes sharing of information through documentation and distribution of best demonstrated practices Builds strong relationships with Cardiology application users groups across HCA, IT&S managers and directors, and the Application Services Leadership Council Serves as primary liaison between Corporate, Division facilities, and Cardiology vendorsStandards Creation: Technology Standards Development, Best Practice Definitions Understands the implications of technology solutions to workflow & operations & assists in communicating to key stakeholders Assists in identifying process improvement opportunities & challenges and communicating them to appropriate Division IT leaders for planning & actionGovernance: Support of Decision-Making Processes Understands IT governance processes & practices Communicates & supports IT governance processes & practicesEDUCATION Bachelor’s degree preferredEXPERIENCE Five to seven years of relevant Cardiovascular imaging system experience including system upgrades and/or administration, interfaces and integration Three years experience in budgeting, creating and maintaining policies, and extensive reporting Experience in large, complex organization or corporate structured environment Experience leading large multi-disciplinary projects Experience creating and leading communications with direct reports, senior leaders, business partners, and vendors to ensure collaboration, efficiency, and service excellenceCERTIFICATE/LICENSE - N/AKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIESRequired: Mature understanding of current and emerging technologies, specific to Cardiology applications (Cath, Hemodynamics, EKG, EP, Echo, Analytics, Reporting, Supply Management…) Mature understanding of Cardiology imaging support processes and workflow Strong Project Management skills Independently motivated Direct leadership success with high profile clinical system implementations Understands pertinent JCAHO, HIPAA,STS, ACC and other cardiology governing body guidelines Demonstrated ability to establish and build strong relationships across a broad range of personality types Strong analytical skills and detailed organizational skills Demonstrated ability to proactively identify needs and manage resources Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate information technology both verbally and in writing Demonstrated customer orientation Excellent leadership and teaching abilities Demonstrated advanced computer skillsPreferred: Strong understanding of HCA systems and procedures Strong analytical skills and detailed organizational skills Demonstrated ability to proactively identify needs and manage resources Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate information technology both verbally and in writing Demonstrated customer orientation, excellent leadership and teaching abilities Demonstrated advanced computer skills Strong understanding of clinical systems and procedures Strong analytical skills in planning and policy maintenance and developmentPHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS - Requires prolonged sitting, some bending, stooping and stretching. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator and other office equipment. Requires normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare and communicate appropriate reports. Work is performed in an office environment.

Work may be stressful at times. Contact may involve dealing with angry or upset people. Staff must remain flexible and available to provide staffing assistance for any/all disaster or emergency situations. Travel between facilities in a geographic zone may be required.
