Directly responsible for increasing company revenues for Business & Professional Services (BPS) Division. Responsibilities include developing and leading commercial sales strategy ensuring maximum revenue, gross profit, and market share of MLS’ foreign language services.

  • Manage sales activities from lead identification through proposal and execution
  • Engage in daily sales activities including cold calling, targeted marketing, and face-to-face customer meetings
  • Increase market visibility through sales and marketing activities and initiatives
  • Identify and attend key industry conferences, symposiums, tradeshows, etc.
  • Manage client relations; track and resolve issues through to successful implementation/resolution
  • Ensure steady growth in new and continued sales
  • Keep abreast of translation and interpretation industry changes and trends
  • Actively acquire knowledge about client’s industry, business needs and company culture to identify existing and new business opportunities
  • Identify creative measures to improve existing business development strategy
  • Develop win strategies, gather competitive market
  • Performs additional duties as assigned
  • Work is generally performed in an office setting
  • A moderate amount of travel away from office may be required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Communications, related field or equivalent (required)
  • Minimum 10 years prior sales experience within industry (required)
  • Prior experience in a small business environment (desired)
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze data sets to determine trends, establish strategies, and make decisions
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate across diverse audiences
  • Ability to multi-task as well as be strategic, creative and innovative in a dynamic, fast paced matrix team environment
  • Proven ability to complete goals/projects on time delivering high quality results
  • Strong commitment to quality and customer service
  • Excellent computer skills with common office applications
