This position is responsible for providing strategic and tactical guidance and oversight for key Information Service architecture decisions within Ohio Health. Associates in the position use their extensive individual and team leadership experience in the analysis, design, and support phases for multiple enterprise wide projects. Activities include developing and reviewing detailed design requirements, identifying functional and non-functional requirements, evaluating and anticipating impact of technical solutions, writing technical specifications, evaluating vendor products, and preparing recommendations for executive management. Under limited supervision, associate must be able to effectively prioritize workload, consistently deliver assignments on time, produce high quality deliverables and proactively coordinate and leverage internal OH resources to coordinate projects and, as needed, to solve challenges/issues/etc. Associate must actively monitor industry publications and electronic information to ensure the technology architecture is aligned with current industry standards.

Desktop Research & Development Technology:
The position is responsible for designing, implementing and supporting the OhioHealth desktop environment. Focus areas are desktop images, Zen architecture, application deployment and single sign-on enablement.

Information Security:
This position is responsible for providing strategic and tactical guidance and oversight for key Information Security architecture decisions within Ohio Health. Focus areas are corrective, detective, and preventive measures to protect the confidentiality, integrity and availability of information assets.

Network LAN WAN:
This position is responsible for designing, installing and configuring firewalls, high-end routers, switches, and wireless networks. Focus areas are balancing performance, monitoring, and risk.

Server Technology:
This position manages the OhioHealth’s server and server based functions including but not limited to operating systems, security and directory services.

Storage Technology:
This position manages the OhioHealth’s storage infrastructure and management including but not limited to storage area networks (SAN), NAS, mid tier to enterprise class storage arrays, and replication technologies.

Telecommunications:
This position provides technology research, development, and implementation of new and/or advanced telecommunications or data network concepts, techniques, and standards. Minimum Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education, Credentials, Licenses: Knowledge and skills typically acquired by completion of an undergraduate degree in engineering, systems analysis or computer information science. Equivalent experience will be considered.

For jobs with the focus on Information Security:
CISSP certification
1-2 years of knowledge and experience in defining compliance and governance strategies for aligning policies, procedures and guidelines with one or more of the following industry regulations (HIPAA, ISO, NIST, PCI, SOX).

Specialized Knowledge:
  • Advanced experience with personal computer, multiple operating systems proven understanding of networking infrastructure
  • Expert in Architecture planning and design skills, analyzing operations, coordination, and carrying out special projects from planning through implementation and support.
For jobs with the focus on Desktop Research and Development Technology:
  • Expected to have expert level knowledge with Microsoft Desktop OS, Zen Architecture & application deployment, EDirectory, Windows Host Scripting, VB Scripting, and automation of desktop control.
For jobs with the focus on Information Security:
  • Knowledge in information technology architecture components, principles, procedures and practices.
  • Knowledge in information design, controls and audit methodology for business systems and data processing environments. Must have a broad knowledge in information technology trends.
  • Knowledge of project management concepts and techniques required.
  • Knowledge and experience with TCP/IP protocols, Subnet masking, OSI model, related protocols and applications.
  • Troubleshooting techniques and experience (ping, traceroute, diagnostics methodology etc.), good analytical approach to problem solving

  • Experience in the analysis and design of large scale, load balanced, high-transaction technology systems
  • Experience with SQL, database design and enterprise storage (NAS, SAN) solutions
For jobs with the focus on Network LANS/WANS:
  • Knowledge and experience with TCP/IP protocols, Subnet masking, OSI model, related protocols and applications. Experience in link state routing protocol (OSPF, BGP, etc.), understanding of HSRP, expensive knowledge of VLAN technology, Spanning tree, and speed and duplex settings. DWDM knowledge necessary.
  • Knowledge and an understanding of server based functions. (DNS, DHCP, RightFax, etc.), and the ability and flexibility to manage a number of engineering projects at one time.
  • Troubleshooting techniques and experience (ping, traceroute, diagnostics methodology etc.), good analytical approach to problem solving DNS, UNIX, DHCP knowledge and experience a plus.   • An expert in multiple operating systems with a proven understanding of networking infrastructure
  • An expert in SAN configuration and management, multiple storage arrays, storage provisioning and storage communication protocols
For jobs with the focus on Telecommunications:
  • Expert Technical and trouble-shooting experience with telephone systems/software, voice mail (Nortel), ACD, IVR, BARS, CDP, VoIP, Wireless, trunks, and related Voice Technology
  • Knowledge of technical, system administration in the analysis and support of PABX, Voice Mail, ACD, IVR, Communications /Meet Me systems, On Site Wireless Voice systems, IPT services and advanced voice systems within OhioHealth; this includes functioning as technical lead and support for telecommunications systems. Knowledge of working in a converged voice and data environment delivering voice over IP (IPT), this position will support legacy Nortel Succession platforms as well as the other leading-edge vendor platforms across OhioHealth’s 50+ locations, 22+ PBX’s, 5+ voice mail systems, 6+ call centers, etc.
  • advanced analysis / troubleshooting, system & network monitoring of all Nortel phone system, mail, fax and other integration services; or Vocera, Emergin integration to Nurse Call, patient beds, heart monitors, IV pumps, etc.; or call center software, database integration to various billing systems, LDAP, etc.; or RightFax integration to multiple application systems; or other communications systems, etc., and associated day to day maintenance and support as required.

Candidate should have experience in the planning and development of Data Center floor plans, network design (fiber, copper, power) and rack & stack designs
Experience in data storage and data center virtualization & transformation at all levels (Servers, Desktop)
Experience in consolidating and optimizing Data Center infrastructure resources
Responsible for assisting with Network Low Level Design (Network Architecture, IP Addressing Concept, Logical Topology and VLANs, Physical Topology and Bill of Material Load Balancers)
Responsible for assisting with Security Architecture and Design (Zoning Security Policies, Firewalls, Intrusion Prevention System, Antivirus, AntiSpam, Mitigation Process, Security Incident Management System)
Plans, conducts and (technically) implements projects or major phases of significant projects
Coordinates efforts of technical support staff in the performance of assigned projects
Conducts Data Center (infrastructure specific) investigations and tests of considerable complexity
Reviews completion and implementation of system additions and/or enhancements and makes recommendations to management
May evaluate vendor capabilities to provide required products or services
May provide technical consultation to other departments
Will provide work leadership to lower level employees
Working knowledge of desktop applications including word processing, spreadsheet, and database programs
Working knowledge of UPS units (10 KVA and above), Generators, CRAC units and fire suppression systems

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree in related field such as information systems, engineering, etc or equivalent experience. Master’s degree preferred.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum of five years experience in progressively complex systems design, including hardware/software integration of complex systems.
Significant work on a minimum of 1 (One) recent data center relocation or construction project.
Experience with private cloud infrastructure, VMware vSphere 4.1, vSphere 5.0,etc.
Experience with disaster recovery planning
Working knowledge of desktop applications including word processing, spreadsheet, and database programs.
Preferred experience with infrastructure and environmental monitoring systems (SiteScan, Alber, etc.) Scheduled Hours Per Week
