• Must be enrolled as a Junior or Senior in an local engineering school pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
• Curriculum should have an emphasis in: Traffic Engineering and/or Highway Design and Transportation Planning
• Familiarity with MicroStation, Highway Capacity Software, VISSIM, SimTraffic, CORSIM, and Synchro
• Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test
The Traffic Intern will assist with transportation related assignments within the traffic engineering disciplines to include: traffic capacity analyses, traffic simulation, transportation planning, preparation of technical reports, environmental assessment reports, planning documents and technical reports in support of NEPA and/or SEPA environmental planning projects. Assignments may also be related to transportation planning and civil engineering disciplines to include conceptual, functional, preliminary and/or final highway design tasks. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to those listed above.
