Inbound Transportation Analyst
Responsible for forecasting and optimizing the transportation spends associated with Intel's inbound supply chain, to include materials, interplant, and manufacturing capital equipment. Also works extensively with internal supply chain partners to optimize other aspects of the inbound supply chain, such as costs, inventory and cycle time. Develops and implements control systems to move material in a timely and cost effective manner. Develops solutions to problems utilizing formal education and judgment. The internship will require strong analytics (math and statistics). Also, the candidate should have a strong interest and/or experience in transportation and logistics process improvement.
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this internship. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience would be obtained through a combination of (Bachelor) level school classes, projects, research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experience. Timeframe for this internship will be Jun to Aug 2013:
- Must be currently enrolled full-time in a (Bachelors) program with a graduation date no earlier than (Dec 2012).
- Must be in one of the following programs of study: (Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Statistics, Math)
- Must have the unrestricted right to work in the US without requiring sponsorship (CPT/OPT is not available).
- Prior Intel internship or an Intel scholarship recipient
- 3+ mths experience in Supply Chain Management
- 3+ mths experience in transportation and logistics
