Working 4 days per week, 10 hours per day, this position involves assisting the professional and para-professional staff in rendering health care. As needed, assists in the Drug Room. HS diploma/GED required. Must be graduate of an accredited medical assisting program OR have successfully completed the internal PMS Medical Assistant II training and assessment program. Must be deemed competent in phlebotomy at time of hire. Thorough knowledge of nursing aide duties preferred. Have or be able to obtain First Aid and BLS/CPR certification within 30 days of hire. Bilingual English/Spanish desirable. For applicants participating in the 'Work Keys' programs, minimum scores are Math-4; Reading-4; Locating Information-3; Writing-2; Listening-2; Teamwork-3; Observation-4.
