The IT Business Analyst will be a professional, self-motivated individual that focuses on financial analysis for the IT projects at Blackbaud. This position will report to the Director of Business Management & Reporting will be responsible for working closely with senior leaders across the organization. This position will serve as a liaison between IT and finance focusing on cost and ROI analysis, budgets, forecasts, business cases, financial statistics, operational reports, allocations, business planning and strategy development to drive efficiencies, improve quality of services provided and improve the total cost of operation. This candidate must have a strong attention to detail, capable of working with teams, a quick learner and strong financial systems and MS Office skills.

Detailed Job Description:
Works closely with senior leaders in IT on cost and ROI analysis.

Accountable for forecasts, budgets, reporting, investment justifications, pricing/costing, business analysis and the total cost of operation. Expected to help the leadership team make decisions on IT projects as well as monitor and regularly update the leadership team on the impacts of these projects.

Completes weekly and monthly reporting and select financial reconciliations.

Develops and maintains business cases and financial models to support IT projects while ensuring that the projects meet the business needs across the company.

Develops and implements procedures and processes related to the assigned projects.

Develops internal and external operational and financial reports as needed.

Works with the different teams in the divisions mentioned; assisting in processes such as monthly forecast process, Purchase Requisition process as well as any cost or ROI model discussions around capital purchases.

Ensure compliance with company policy, SOX, SEC guidelines and reporting requirements.

Develops and implements process improvements, particularly those involving a technical financial aspect.

Works closely with Corporate Finance and Business Units on projects, customer programs, costing, pricing and process improvements involving technical financial aspects.

Provides guidance and support to the IT group regarding issues, transactions, processes, report generation, system improvements and account maintenance.

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance

3+ years of accounting experience (or related field) including financial analysis experience

Solid communication skills with the ability to build consensus across multiple departments

Ability to work independently and multi-task

Strong problem solving and analysis skills

Proficient in financial systems and MS Office products
