Registry shifts are currently available as a Patient Relations Associate in an Emergency Room at a Banner Health facility in the East Valley.
The Pt Relations Associate position fulfills a customer service role assisting and working with patients and their families in the Emergency Room setting
Although a Registry position, we are looking for the successful candidates to work up to 36hrs per week, working rotating weekends.
Day and Night positions are available
The position may last up to 1 year

Responsibilities :

This position is responsible for serving as a liaison between patient/family members and facility staff and providing point-of-service complaint resolution in an effort to build and maintain mutually beneficial relationships with patients, their families and key constituencies resulting in the enhancement of the patient experience. Depending on assigned area of responsibility, may be responsible for proactively rounding on patients to minimize complaints and reduce long waits by providing front-end service, comfort, and compassion.

Qualifications :

High school diploma or equivalent and working knowledge of customer service principles and practices within a medical environment as normally demonstrated through a minimum of two years relevant customer service experience. Depending on area of assignment, may require bilingual skills, successful completion of applicable medical interpreter program, and/or current licensure in a clinical discipline.

Must have excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills to effectively interact and provide assistance to a diverse group of individuals. Must have a working knowledge of personal software packages. Must have the ability to organize, prioritize and multi-task workload in a fast paced environment. Skilled in solving problems in order to facilitate the communication network between patient and hospital. Skilled in maintaining composure and professional demeanor in difficult and stressful situations.


Associate’s Degree. Previous acute-care hospital experience. Bilingual.

Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
