Mechanical Modifications/Plant Services Consulting Engineer
Type of Position:
•Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent education) from a four year accredited college or university.
•Must have 8+ years of experience in the commercial nuclear power industry.
•Must have demonstrated knowledge of Nuclear Power plant systems design and operation.
•Must also have demonstrated experience working as a Lead Engineer developing Engineering Change (Modification) packages.
•Ability to obtain unescorted access at a nuclear power plant.
•Demonstrated experience working in the PASSPORT System.
•Due to the nature of work, candidate must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident from an eligible country according to eCFR 810.
•Previous assignment at an operating nuclear power plant
•Experience on BWR and PWR designs
•Professional Engineer License
•Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test.
•Relocation or per diem support is not available for this position.

URS Corporation is seeking an Mechanical Modifications/Plant Services Consulting Engineer to be based in our Fort Mill, SC location.
Lead Mechanical Engineer responsible for performing plant support of operating nuclear power plants including but not limited to conducting site visits for assessment of existing systems and equipment conditions, designing and implementing modifications, performing engineering studies and reports, cost estimates and schedules, and proposal development.
