MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED: High school Diploma or equivalent.

MINIMUM EDUCATION PREFERRED : Some college in hotel management or other hospitality-based industry and / or American Hotel & Lodging Association certification and /or comparable work experience a plus.

PREFERED EXPERIENCE : Experience in hotel or similar operational / customer service environment

OTHER SKILLS REQUIRED: Verbal and written aptitude for adequate communication with the general public, patient and other office staff. Must demonstrate the ability to work well with others and to work independently without direct supervision. Must exhibit a caring attitude toward patients, co-workers, and other customers. Ability to handle multiple priorities successfully. Position requires close attention to detail and accurate cash/credit handling . Must present in a professional manner. General working knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT: The main desk area and adjoining back office area is small, adequately lit with both standing and seated work stations. Subject to environmental high and low temps when guests are transiting the lobby although a year-round average temp is about 70 degrees. Shifts are between 8-9hrs with no scheduled breaks although GSR may sit and rest whenever there are quiet times, standing when a guest comes to the desk.
