Marketstar currently has an opportunity available in our South Jordan office for an IPG (Imaging and Printing) Specialty Manager. The IPG Specialty Manager works directly with multiple clients and teams to co-develop and execute Imaging and Printing Group sales, marketing, training and business plan objectives within MarketStar’s assigned reseller account space for specialty products. The ideal candidate is strategic, experienced, forward-thinking and very personable. Management experience is required.

Manage multiple strategic engagements and SOW’s specific to IPG specialty business
Teams/SOW’s may include: Managed Print Services, Scanjet, Graphic Specialty Design, Large Format Media, etc.
Build client relationships and look for opportunities for growth
Strategic Business Management – Work in tandem with key client contacts to develop sales strategies and business plans to drive IPG-specific initiatives through the MarketStar Sales Organization

IPG Category Integration – Coordinate with IPG Category and Product Line managers to ensure a cohesive channel sales support structure exists at the business unit level, while proactively offering valuable feedback and suggestions on how MarketStar can better support the channel and integrate with HP’s field selling teams

Program Development – Work with the PPS Sales Director and IPG Business Manager to jointly develop, implement, and execute quarterly category sales programs to drive sales performance and achieve quota for specialty products
Sales Funnel Management – As deemed appropriate by client, understand sales trends, create and review the sales funnel, highlight recent IPG sales success, and outline potential sales inhibitors
IPG Training Support – Work with the MarketStar training team to coordinate ongoing IPG product, program, and process training for specialty products
Escalation Support – Provide assistance to sales and management team when an IPG specific need or problem arises

Hiring – Lead the interview process for identifying, maintaining, and developing talent within the IPG Specialty sales organization

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required

Minimum of 3 years sales management experience required
6-7 years of direct and/or indirect sales experience
Experience selling technology products; experience with IPG products preferred
Previous track record of achieving quota
