Under general supervision and according to established procedures, prepares, seasons, and cooks a variety of food items for hospital patients, employees, visitors, special functions, and other events according to production sheets and recipe specifications. Responsible for maintaining set standards of quality food production and portion control. Inspects foods and meats in storage and maintains sanitation of work area and equipment used, and performs other related duties as assigned. First Cook MUST be Serv Safe Certified, and must maintain current certification. High School required. Minimum 2 yrs exp as an A La Carte Line Cook in a white table cloth facility and 1 yr experience as a prep cook. Deli & Display cooking experience is helpful. Must have directed other kitchen staff.
