In order to ensure MCSI is positioned for profitable growth in its target segments, the Product Manager is responsible for understanding the impact of each laboratory test within assigned area of responsibility. This includes: alignment of internal service offerings to market demand, identification & leverage of test differentiation across shared service units, championing test offering modifications based on external forces, optimizing return through life cycle management, development & management of annual strategies, managing pricing targets & discounts in accordance with macro pricing strategy, providing guidance and budget responsibility for promotional activities, coordinating distribution activity across existing & future channels, serving as subject matter expert for external alliances. Works closely with laboratory & business leadership to ensure product management activities are aligned with goals & constraints. Products include Laboratory Medicine and Pathology tests, Mayo Collaborative Services pre and post analytical service offerings as well as future industry collaborations and service line offerings. The Product Manager proactively plans contingencies to lessen the impact of issues and risks, collaborates with internal or external subject matter experts to recommend solutions, demonstrates ability to effectively facilitate negotiation and manage conflict among key stakeholders and project team members at department or enterprise level. Participates in and supports business planning activities associated with current and future Mayo Collaborative Services lines of business. Works collaboratively with all functional areas, internal Mayo Clinic clients, consultants, administrators and outside vendors. A Bachelor's degree in business or related fields and a minimum of six years of progressive health care and/or product management experience. A Masters degree in business or related fields and two years experience in health care and/or product management will also qualify.
An MS, MBA or MPH degree with extensive health care experience is preferred. Also preferred is experience integrating disparate teams into a single, high performing unit as well as demonstrated success in managing a business enterprise or service line within an enterprise. The incumbent must be able to work effectively in a consensus-style operation that expects and promotes teamwork and have demonstrated ability to work with ambiguity. Must possess the ability to inspire trust and confidence, and communicate effectively with internal and external audiences. The ability to work independently, work with multiple projects and maintain a high degree of professionalism and confidentiality is essential. Creative, detail-oriented, efficient, organized, self-starter yet team-oriented, highly productive. Demonstrated problem-solving skills and decision-making ability. Strong written and oral communication skills. Successful relationship management skills involving multidisciplinary teams.

Compensation Detail: Salaried - Education, experience, and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended. *The minimum salary every 2 weeks is approx $3136, based on a full-time position.
