Brief Description
Providing overall coordination and supervision for the special education extended school year services, including Parent Surrogacy and serving as Community Liaison. Detailed Description

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Coordination of all ESY activities;
Interfacing with transportation, health services, and summer school relative to ESY activities;
Monitoring Special Education ESY service delivery to ensure program effectiveness;
Monitoring Special Education ESY programs to ensure compliance with Federal and State mandates;
Parent Surrogacy training, program coordination and recruitment;
Assisting with staff development activities;
Coordinating communication with school communities;
Providing ongoing community/parent involvement and participation in school programs; and
Conducting workshops and trainings.

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Minimum of three (3) years of successful teaching experience in the field of Special Education or related services;
Experience with ESY and Parent Surrogacy processes; and
Effective oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills. Job Requirements

Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree; Master's degree or equivalent preferred;

Standard Professional; Certificate/Advanced Professional Certificate in Special Education;

No direct supervisory responsibilities.
