SUMMARY: The ESU Assembler assumes responsibility for the manufacture of products (transformers, wire harness, and sub-assemblies, etc.) within our Bovie line and in compliance with Bovie/Aaron Medical quality standards.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned from time to time. 1. Build assemblies from blueprint and/or procedural notebook2. Perform routine sub-assembly, complete or final assembly of a range of PCB's, following specific instructions and samples, using hand tools and soldering iron.3. Align, fit and adjust parts to meet operating requirements of procedure.4. Works from drawings, diagrams, models or blueprints.5. Inserts wires, solder components and leads into eyelets or terminals.6. Trim excess wire and clean boards.7. Maintain and complete necessary quality documentation.8. Packaging of product when applicable.9. Other duties as assigned from time to time.
QUALITY ASSURANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: The ESU Assembler must comply with the following quality system requirements including, but not limited to:1. Use only formally approved procedures, records, documents and specifications known as "Control Documents' (e.g., device history records, data collection forms, drawings, procedures, and specifications).2. Use only calibrated and maintained equipment.3. Immediately bring to the attention of the VP of Operations or the Quality Assurance Department any possible deviations to specified Standard Operating Procedures or Work Instructions he/she may notice.4. Ensure no components, parts, manufactured materials or products will be released unless they meet all inspections and test criteria5. Follow all Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions relating to the functions performed. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: High School graduate of General Education Degree (GED). One to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of QSR, ISO, SPC, or TQM is helpful. Must be able to follow written procedures, correctly use measuring devices and read drawings as required. Soldering certification would be a plus. LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, safety procedures, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence, properly fill out records, logs, and device history records.
