MAJOR JOB DUTIES:
The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a first level supervisor exercising technical and administrative supervision over subordinate workers in accomplishing direct aircraft maintenance activities performed during Programmed Depot Maintenance (PDM)

Performs work planning and direction responsibilities

Performs administration responsibilities and enforces management policies

Manages the aircraft maintenance production effort and is accountable for optimum management of resources in support and attainment of organizational and mission goals

THE HOURLY RATE FOR THIS POSITION IS: $ 29.85 - $34.84.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:
At least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade

(WG-10)

or equivalent.

Specialized experience must include repair, rework, and replace components or parts of systems to assure proper systems operations by following appropriate technical orders and/or manufacturers procedures. Use of proper technical data, and approved maintenance procedures to disconnect, remove, and disassemble aircraft system components and parts and determining repair requirements, route components and parts to specialty shops

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs)

Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:

1. Knowledge of a wide range of principles, processes, and techniques of trade(s) and/or craft(s) supervised and personnel management policies, practices and procedures, including sexual harassment and Equal Employment Opportunity/Equal Employment Treatment.

2. Knowledge of safety regulations, practices and procedures.

3. Knowledge of the use and maintenance of hand and power tools, equipment, and precision measuring and/or test equipment common to trades supervised.

4. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, sketches, and technical specifications.

5. Ability to plan and organize work assignments to include determining resources required to accomplish mission.

6. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in write.

ADDITIONAL CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

:

Other significant facts pertaining to this position are:
1. May be required, at the convenience of the government to perform temporary duty to contractor facilities or other Air Force installations for special projects, conferences or training, by military or commercial air transportation and to utilize government furnished quarters and messes when available. May be required to travel IAW JFTR.

2. Must be qualified and capable or supervising all skills while TDY.

3. The work may require the employee to drive a motor vehicle. An appropriate, valid driver's license may be required for the position.
