Athletic Trainer – Athletic Care/Sport Outreach Program ( Kenmore Mercy Hospital ): Represents Catholic Health System in the Outreach Athletic Training Service Program at area colleges, high schools, and athletic events. Provides Athletic Trainer services to these community entities under the scope of the required certification by NYS Department of Education and the National Athletic Trainers’ Association Board of Certification and requirements of any contractual agreement with these outside agencies. Specifically, provides services such as injury prevention, acute injury care, and emergency care and first aid within the scope of national certification. The Athletic Trainer may also assist in the implementation of maintenance programs at AthletiCare Rehabilitation sites under the guidance and supervision of management.
REPORTS TO: Manager – ATC Outreach Sports Program, Manager and/or Senior Therapist of AthletiCare

SKILL AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS (MINIMUM): EDUCATION:
Graduate of an accredited four-year college program with a BS degree
Certified by the National Athletic Trainer’s Association Board of Certification (NATA BOC) - required
Licensed by the NYS Department of Education or eligible · Requires current CPR /AED
EXPERIENCE:
One (1) year of previous experience working as an Athletic Trainer preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY:
Must be able to work long periods under conditions requiring moderate physical demands.
