Responsible for management and supervision of all site activities to ensure the following activities are performed. Direct site Logistics activities through supervision of assigned logistics personnel. Advises management of deficiencies affecting the overall aircraft airworthiness and inventories of aircraft support equipment. Ensure the following functions are performed through proper supervision: Monitors inspections, refurbishment and phase maintenance. Monitors aircraft maintenance records and historical documents. Manages site maintenance manpower and aircraft maintenance actions using the assigned maintenance database tracking. Reviews and utilizes maintenance data collection reports. Monitors/reviews deficiency reports for adverse trends. Counsels workers and maintains discipline. Interviews potential workers for employment and recommends hire for the site. Uses applicable technical orders/manuals when supervising or performing aircraft maintenance, time compliance technical order, and to troubleshoot aircraft. Monitors in-progress and follow-up inspections to ensure quality has been performed. Ensures the research, order and receipt of aircraft parts and equipment. Monitors reports for supply difficulty items. Prepares parts for turn-in back into the supply system. Initiates material deficiency reports as required. Inventories aircraft support equipment. Ensures establishment of site, customer and company tool accountability procedures. Complies with established policies, procedures and standards. Assists subordinates mechanics/specialists as required. Complies with all safety, bioenvironmental, security and housekeeping standards. Complies with training requirements. Supervises and trains newly assigned personnel as required. Schedules workloads directly or through subordinates. Operates vehicles, both special purpose and regular as required. Practices good housekeeping, tool control, FOD awareness/prevention and safety at all times. Assists assigned personnel in researching and requisitioning aircraft parts and components and in determining the reparability and serviceability of these assets. Maintains supply discipline in the work center at all times, to include Materiel Deficiency Ensures personnel are trained in work area safety and FOD prevention programs prior to assigning maintenance tasks. Provides guidance and instruction to employees concerning technical orders, checklists, and hazardous materials. Actively participates and supervise the site Safety Program. Refers to hazardous material training and ensure HAZMAT processes are followed. Discusses discrepancies with aircrews to secure adequate troubleshooting information and flight data. Ensures that Documents data and discrepancies in aircraft forms, other related forms, and maintenance database, and uses system to research aircraft history. Performs other job related duties as may be assigned.

Bachelor of Science degree in Business, Aviation Administration or related field and four (4) years experience in work related to the above described examples, OR Two-year degree or certificate from an accredited two- (2) year college, university or technical school in Aviation Administration or a related field AND eight (8) years of experience in work related to the above described examples, OR Graduation from a standard four (4) year high school or equivalent (GED) AND twelve (12) years of managing and coordinating aircraft maintenance operations in work related to the above described examples.
The qualified applicant must have a minimum of five (5) years aircraft mechanic level experience.
Work experience as Lead Mechanic or supervisor directing FAA and/or government aircraft maintenance operations. Current FAA A&P certificate required.
Secret Clearance required on this position.
