As an Applications Engineer at Micron Technology Inc you will work closely with marketing field applications engineering design engineering and product engineering You will collaborate with customers and the factory to identify and specify products for DRAM marketsapplications You will also translate highlevel product feature requirements into detailed technical requirements and facilitate internal activities to design test and deliver products meeting customer commitments Responsibilities will include but not limited to Providing primary factorybased technical support for respective products to customers and thirdparties Creating and releasing product support documentation including product data sheets and application notes Working with memory design engineers to develop solutions which meet customer performance and power requirements Evaluating competitor products Supporting system validation testing for Micron DRAM solutions Creating and releasing product support documentation including product data sheets and application notes Developing maintaining and presenting technical training and sales material required to support products Delivering technical training to sales field applications engineering and customers Working directly with the field applications force and customers to support initial designins and product qualifications Continually evaluating competitive product offerings and providing support material to marketing sales and field application engineers Managing and coordinating customer problem resolution in the factory Participating at industrystandards organizations and conferences Successful candidate for this position will have A minimum of five years of DRAM design product test system validation or application engineering experience Excellent verbal and written communications skills High organization skills and the ability to be selfmotivated Demonstrated problem solving and troubleshooting skills The ability to work with other engineers across multiple disciplines as well as customers of various positions Solid personal computer skills including Microsoft Office (Excel Powerpoint Word) Experience with highvolume manufacturing (Preferred) Experience with Adobe Framemaker Illustrator Acrobat XMLbased document editing Verilog IBIS HSPICE Schematic capture PCB layout andor design PCB board validation EducationBSEE or equivalent If interested submit resume in a word document format Strong background in SERDES, position available in either Boise, Idaho or San Jose, CA.
