Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Estimator fora favorite client, a concrete based construction firm. We know they are going places rapidly and are already an industry leader in Massachusetts. We are seeking someone who can set up and run a small department of estimating where currently 6 or 7 persons, from PMs to assistant PMS to Jr Estimators and an external consultant are all doing pieces of the estimation process. It isworking now but its a little laid back and we need a proven streamliner here to deal with the exploding growth of this entrepreneur led great company. Experience in handling up to $75m a year would be a huge advantage. Its a really cool workspace, with a great management team already in place.
BTW, our client is wide open to candidates who are a hand in glove fit but are from outside the Greater Boston area.
Qualifications
Candidate must be (provably) able to mentor, lead, rah rah the troops, get the buzz going, bring in new estimating technology, install fluid bidding processes and monitor and report on percentages of bids won, what is worth chasing and general direction of company development. etc.
Preferably, we are looking for someone who estimates in the lower divisions, i.e. anything to do with "in the ground" issues, but heavy on concrete. Candidates must be extremely well versed on take-off and pricing of time, materials and labor on concrete forming, shoring, pouring, pumping, leveling, screeding, finishing etc.
