Avaya Government Solutions has an immediate opening for a Help Desk Analyst position in San Antonio, Texas. The Help Desk Analyst provides technical assistance to customers/users of court applications in a Help Desk environment. Assistance includes: · Answering defendant and court personnel inquiries about federal citation status, entering and updating cases, troubleshooting and resolving technical problems · Tracking issues and documenting resolutions · Assisting customers as the liaison for defendants and court personnel, and how to best resolve issues that are unique to each situation · Retrieving information from the database and all available systems and resources

Minimum Education/Experience: High School diploma and 2+ years of progressive Information Technology (IT) experience including at least two projects providing customer support or Help Desk services. At least one project must have occurred within the past three (2) years. Required Skills/Abilities: Basic Skills Required Of All Applicants: · Enjoys a fast paced environment · Customer service skills · Able to work and interact with others in a structured / team environment · Accuracy and attention to detail, must have organizational skills · Independent problem solver with troubleshooting, decision making and analytical skills · Requires limited supervision - Self-motivated - Self-starter · Flexibility and adaptability to handle competing work demands · Verbal and written communication skills - Demonstrated ability to communicate to nontechnical audience on technical issues - Demonstrated ability to communicate on a technical level to a technical audience Specific Skills and Experience Includes: · Experience in phone based customer support · General computing knowledge which includes experience with Windows XP operating systems, Internet Explorer, and Firefox · High proficiency with data entry is also key · Experience troubleshooting and supporting web-based applications · Must have the ability to analyze technical problems and communicate effectively with customers, peers, and management · Direct experience working in a customer service focused environment
