Monsanto is seeking a highly motivated individual to join the Vegetables division as Trait Development Lead. The Vegetable Trait Development Lead has responsibility for managing and implementing greenhouse and field testing strategies for our vegetable trait pipeline. For this role, you must have the ability to work as a member of a multidisciplinary team and serve as the primary liaison between foundation teams that support product testing, including inside and outside farming, statistics, pathology, molecular technology and biochemistry. You are expected to work closely with Breeding and Trait Project Teams to ensure proper testing and clear product advancement decisions.

Responsibilities : Provide technical leadership in for all phases of trait experimentation (preparation of testing material, experimental protocol development and implementation, data entry, data management, data QC and statistical analysis). Implement research efforts and program specific direction, provided from project leadership. Participate in continuous improvement and explore novel methods to detect physiological mechanisms of horticultural traits. Understand the dynamic between environmental inputs and plant growth and development.

Ensure that all aspects of regulatory compliance standards are fully implemented across all internal and external field trial locations and seed handling.
