The Division of Geriatric Medicine, Department of Medicine and the Center for Aging and Health have an Open Rank faculty position available for an academic geriatrician. Position will involve clinical, research and teaching activities. Clinical and/or research duties may include providing clinical instruction to medical students, residents, fellows, community practitioners, participation in our Palliative Care Program, and other health care students in the Reynolds Geriatric Practice and Teaching Programs. Individual may also provide inpatient care to the Acute Care of the Elderly Service and outpatient care in the Geriatric Clinic in addition to possibly providing continuing clinical care to area dependent living, assisted living, and long-term care communities/facilities. Participation in geriatric research will be based on the applicant’s training and interests. Administrative opportunities are available for qualified individuals. Position is Open Rank; rank and track will be dependent on qualifications and experience.

Educational Requirements

M.D. degree. Must be Board Certified/Board Eligible Geriatrician. Board Certified/Board Eligible in Palliative Medicine preferred.

Qualifications and Experience

The ideal applicant would have excellent administrative and interpersonal skills plus demonstrate an ability to work with multiple disciplines. Individuals with Board Certification and/or bilingual skills are encouraged to apply.
