The successful Product Marketing Operations Manager will champion the back office Marketing Operations functions within the Global Product Marketing organization:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
Lead product strategy implementation in back-end systems by driving the necessary manufacturing, R&D, labeling and logistics activities to ensure accurate product representation across Covidien systems. Collaborate with upstream Product Marketing teams to support operational implementation of new product launches. Maintain regular interaction with manufacturing plants and logistics department to ensure global forecast accuracy Manage backorder recovery plans and communications globally. Define EOL/EOS strategies and tactical implementation of product obsolescence. Manage SKU rationalization activities in conjunction with EOL/EOS leaders and develop global execution plans. Own part number set activities, including submission and review of part numbers to Corporate Marketing for approval through the brand architectureand set-up of new parts. Refine product forecasts to support logistics requirements in driving supply across our distribution system. Assist in the development and maintenance of customer accessed databases and references to support best in class back-office Marketing functions. Develop and deliver strategic presentations to upper management. Create regular Individual Development Plans and set concrete development goals. In collaboration with manager, ensure a development plan is in place for career progression

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS : Education:
BS/BA degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, Economics, or Engineering;
5+ years marketing within the medical device industry. Proven track record of tactical product management with P&L responsibility. Knowledge/Experience of international markets or business a plus.
