Here at WakeMed, the Application Support Analyst in the Data Security group will report to the Data Security Supervisor and have the primary role of fulfilling role based access requests for Epic. The Security Coordinator will define the processes by which access will be granted for Epic (and eventually legacy systems). The Application Support Analyst will perform the actual assignments. The primary goal of the Application Support Analyst is to ensure Epic user access is limited to those that are authorized and that authorized user's access is limited to only that which is necessary to perform their job functions. The Application Support Analyst will process access requests, ensure the requests meet the defined security standard for the role then fulfill the request. The Application Support Analyst will also respond to user issues and tickets as needed to ensure proper role based access assignments. The Application Support Analyst will complete access procedures for new employees, modify access when a user changes positions/roles, and terminate access for employees that separate from WakeMed. From time-to-time the Application Support Analyst may be asked to fulfill the tier 2 help desk function, for example during go-live events, system upgrades, or other changes where access issues are anticipated. The Application Support Analyst may also be asked to assist in other data security activities as needed by the Data Security Supervisor.
Experience Requirements :
Minimum (5) years experience in a technical help desk or customer technical support role required. Healthcare experience preferred.
Select Education Type :
Graduate of Technical school in Computer Science -or- related electronic information processing field required. In lieu of degree equivalent work experience may be considered.
