Job Summary

FIS Integration Services is looking for an energetic IT Architect who will play a key role in analysis, design, development, support and implementation of web services and integration framework. This individual will interact with clients, business analysts, and team members to understand business requirements that drive the analysis and design of quality technical solutions. This individual will work closely with other internal/external groups to ensure that the integration design is meeting the needs of the business and aligns with business and IT strategies. The job requires interacting with on-shore and off-shore team members. As part of a middle ware group, this individual will have the opportunity to work on multiple concurrent projects and play multiple roles while working under minimal supervision. Additionally, this individual will be responsible for delivering high quality solutions for strategic development projects and client requested enhancements.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with other IT Architects to establish integration design patterns
  • Develop quality system enhancements which accelerate the ability to integrate multiple systems to multiple end-points
  • Develop and/or enhance existing application services and associated framework
  • Interact with functional and technical team members to define requirements and match technology solution to the business need
  • Work closely with on-shore and off-shore team members to co-ordinate activities
  • Create technical designs, develop code and execute unit test cases
  • Research industry standards and design patterns
  • Lead, guide, and advise other teams on best integration practices
  • Integrate leading edge FIS products with multiple systems and vendors
  • Participate in component and data architecture designs
  • Perform performance and capacity testing
  • Write technical specifications, white papers, position papers, technology standards and guidelines
  • Suggest technical alternatives and improve/streamline processes and systems
  • Conduct product evaluation and make buy vs. build recommendations
Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in JAVA, J2EE, UNIX, JMS, UML, HTML, CSS, XML, XSL, SOAP, XML modeling, Axis, java logging frameworks, and JMX
  • Minimum of 2 years experience working with SAML 2.0 and WS-Security required
  • Practical experience with IBM WebSphere, JBOSS, Tomcat or similar JAVA application server
  • Experience with IBM DataPower Integration Appliance is desirable
  • Experience with SOAP UI, XML SPY, JMeter, Mapforce
  • Skilled with using Eclipse IDE
  • Practical experience with Oracle Database and SQL
  • Experience working with Atlassian tools, JIRA, Subversion, GIT, or Harvest
  • Working knowledge of maven and ant
  • Familiarity with static code analyzing/scanning tools like HP Fortify is a plus
  • Solid understanding of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and Web Oriented Architecture (WOA)
  • Solid understanding of Object Oriented Design
  • Knowledge of end-to-end systems development life cycles
  • Solid analytical and problem resolution skills
  • Minimum 2 years of experience leading a team
  • Financial services industry experience is a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to technical and non-technical audiences of various levels in the organization (e.g., executive, management, individual contributors)
  • Is resourceful and proactive in gathering information and sharing ideas
  • Must have a strong ability to work independently with minimal guidance, multi-task when necessary, and effectively manage priorities and time.
  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related discipline or equivalent combination of education and related experience
