QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION Bachelor's degree (B.A.) or equivalent from a four-year college or technical school; or four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read, analyze and interpret common technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from guests, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write communication for presentations regarding the hotel and services available. Ability to present information to senior management or public groups.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to work mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference and fundamentals of math. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY Ability to define problems collects data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

SUMMARY:
Directs and coordinates activities of the hotel to obtain optimum efficiency and economy of operations and maximize profits by performing the following duties personally or through direct report supervisors. The following reflects management's definition of essential functions for this job but does not restrict the tasks that may be assigned. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
Passion and commitment to the business at an ownership level Manage people to inspire loyalty and maximize performance Engage with individuals/groups and be comfortable in social situations Establish and maintain guest service standards that exceed guests' expectations Hire, train, supervise and appraise all supervisors Manage guest and community relations Monitor financial performance and control costs pursuant to the annual operating budget Maximize the revenue generated by each business area Participate in community and industry organizations as the primary representative of the hotel Maintain the property to Franchise and Rim standards
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Manages individual department supervisors that are responsible for the daily operations and profitability of the hotel. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of these departments. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the company's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training colleagues, planning, assigning and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining colleagues, addressing complaints and resolving problems.
